- Jim Clyburn and the Biden-Harris Administration believes that everyone should pay their fair share and will fight for a tax code that:

- Will raise the corporate tax to a minimum of 21% to crack down on tax cheats.
- Will ensure billionaires finally pay their fair share with a minimum 25% income tax.

Lowering Costs
- Congressman Clyburn and the Biden-Harris Administration have made great progress in providing student loan debt relief to millions of Americans and making college more affordable. Moving forward the Administration will:

- Eliminate student loan origination fees.
- Permanently exempt debt forgiveness from taxation.
- Increase the maximum Pell Grant award and make broader investments in HBCUs.

- Every 2 months, 75,000 Americans will become eligible for student loan forgiveness under the Biden-Harris Administration’s improvements to income-based repayment and Public Service Loan Forgiveness programs.
- Congressman Clyburn, in partnership with the Biden-Harris Administration, will fight to:

- Extend the $35 cap on insulin prices for all.
- Cap prescription costs at $2,000 maximum a year.
- Expand access to life-saving health care by making expanded Affordable Care Act tax credits permanent.

- Create a housing tax credit of $400/month for 2 years to aid first time home buyers in accessing the American dream.
- Build and renovate 2 million affordable homes to increase the available housing supply and bring down rent prices.
- Promote a $10,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers.

- Reinstating the Child Tax Credit modeled after the American Rescue Plan, which lifted millions of children out of poverty following the pandemic.
